1. Mission and Objectives

Founded in 1999, the KODISA Foundation (formerly the Korea Distribution Science Association) is a non-profit, membership-driven organization dedicated to the development of distribution science and the support of scholarships for academics in the related field of research and study.


KODISA Foundation aims to share scholarships regarding issues of business, management, distribution science, sustainability, multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary studies; to offer an excellent opportunity to meet academics and professionals from around the world in the fields; to enable members to exchange information and ideas on the topics; and to provide publication opportunities to get published scholarly papers and short communication papers in KODISA. ICBE Proceedings (CPCI indexed) and affiliated KODISA Journals (ESCI and SCOPUS indexed).


Thanks to the support of our 12,000+ members across 35 countries, we act as a catalyst to promote and enhance excellence in business, management, distribution science development globally and regionally.

KODISA Foundation has grown into the largest academic association in Korea in the fields of economics, business, management, distribution science, and multidisciplinary studies. With our network 12,000+ business and management professionals from academia, business, public service, and consultancies, we play a central role in shaping regional approach to business, management, and distribution science education and provide a unique forum for information, research, networking, and debate on innovation and best practice.


In particular, thanks to special efforts to lead sustainable growth of academic journals from 2010, KODISA Foundation has published more than 500 articles per year and has printed more than 11,000 copies per year. Among academic journals under KODISA’ supervision, the Journal of Distribution Science (JDS) has been indexed in SCOPUS(in 2016 onward) and Web of Science(in 2024 onward). In addition, annual academic meetings of KODISA International Conference on Business and Economics (KODISA.ICBE) have published average 100 articles per year in KODISA Foundation. ICBE Proceedings, which has also been indexed in Clarivate Analytics CPCI-SSH, including ICBE2015, ICBE2016, and ICBE2017.


2. Social Responsibility


The KODISA Foundation acknowledges that corporate social responsibility (CSR) is vital not just for the environment, society, and the world at large, but for our community’s reputation. KODISA cares about CSR more than the financial bottom line to positively impact society and the environment. Our top priority as follows:

Education Scholarship Fund: KODISA supports academic meetings and workshops, scholarly activities, academic publications, vocational education and college education in the fields of business, management, and distribution science development through KODISA Scholarship Foundation, an independent non-profit organization.

Economic Considerations: KODISA discloses the community’s impacts on the economic conditions of our stakeholders and on economic systems at local, national and global levels at its best.

Environmental Issues: KODISA discloses the community’s impacts on living and non-living natural systems (land, air, water and ecosystems), including impacts related to inputs (such as energy and water), outputs (such as emissions, effluents and waste) as well as environmental compliance and expenditures at its best.

Ethics and Integrity: KODISA discloses the community’s values, principles and standards, and our internal and external mechanisms for (1) seeking advice on ethical and lawful behavior and (2) reporting concerns about unethical or unlawful behavior and matters of integrity.

Social Impact: KODISA discloses the community’s impacts on the social systems within which it operates, including those relating to human rights, society, and product and service responsibility.

Stakeholder Engagement: KODISA discloses the community’s stakeholder engagement during the reporting period and not limiting it solely to engagement conducted for purposes of preparing the CSR report.
