Research ethics regulations


Article 1 (Purpose) 

The purpose of this regulation is to establish the basic principles and directions necessary to secure research ethics to be observed as researchers, editors, and judges in all academic journals published by the Korea Distribution Science Association (KODISA).

 

Article 2 (Definition of Unethical Research)

1. Unethical Research (hereinafter referred to as "cheating") refers to forgery, alteration, plagiarism, etc. performed in the proposal of research, the conduct of research, the report and presentation of research results, and the display of unfair thesis authors, etc.

1) The term "forgery" means the act of falsely generating data or research results that do not exist.

2) The term "modulation" means the act of artificially manipulating research materials, equipment, processes, etc., or distorting research contents or results by arbitrarily transforming or deleting data.

3) The term "plagiarism" means the act of stealing other people's ideas, research contents, results, etc. without justifiable approval or citation. It also includes self-plagiarism, which publishes one's research in duplicate.

4) The term "indication of an unjust thesis author" means the act of granting a thesis author status to a person who has made an academic or technical contribution to the research content or results without justifiable grounds, or giving a thesis author status on the grounds of gratitude or courtesy.

5) Intentionally obstructing the investigation into allegations of fraud by the person or another person or inflicting harm to the informant;

6) An act of suggesting, forcing, or threatening another person to commit the above cheating;

             7) Other acts that are seriously outside the scope normally accepted by academia

2. The term "informant" means a person who has informed the academic society or research supporting agency of the facts or related evidence that he/she has recognized the wrongdoing. However, a person who has done this intentionally or by gross negligence is not regarded as an informant.

3. The term "investigator" means a person subject to report or a person who is presumed to have committed a fraud while conducting an investigation and is subject to investigation.

4. The term "preliminary investigation" means collecting relevant information on the reported facts and performing a preliminary fact-checking procedure to determine whether to conduct this investigation.

5. The term "this investigation" means an official investigation and evaluation of all relevant facts to determine whether or not a fraud is committed and whether the person responsible for the investigation is involved in determining the degree type of fraud.

 

Article 3 (Scope of Unethical Research)

1. The scope of unethical research is as follows.

             1) counterfeiting of research results

2) Modulating behavior that distorts research content or research results by manipulating data

             3) Plagiarism that steals the research contents or research results of others

             4) Self-plagiarism that publishes or publishes the same research results in duplicate

             5) Unfair labelling of researchers without contribution to research

2. Details of frequently occurring plagiarism shall be determined and operated separately in the relevant posting regulations.

 

Article 4 (Honesty of Researchers)

1. Researchers should be honest in their research. Here, honesty refers to the honesty of the overall research process, such as deriving ideas, designing experiments, analyzing experiments and results, supporting research funds, publishing research results, and fair compensation for research participants.

2. Researchers should regard plagiarism, fraud, manipulation, forgery, and tampering in research as serious criminal acts, and do their best to prevent such irregularities from occurring.

3. The researcher shall report any suspected misconduct under paragraph 2 of this Article to the Society in an appropriate manner.

4. If there is a possibility that the interests of the researcher and the interests of another person or other institution conflict with each other, the researcher shall publish them and respond appropriately.

 

Article 5 (Openness of Research)

1. Researchers should engage in a public attitude as much as possible for the development of disciplines and technologies to the extent that their research secrets are protected.

2. Upon request from another researcher after the publication of the research results, research-related data and results shall be actively provided to the extent permitted by the regulations on intellectual property rights or research-related restrictions.

 

Article 6 (Distribution of Contribution)

1. Authors listed in published research results, such as papers, should be able to fulfill their responsibilities by familiarizing them with the research contents, and should not give author authority to those who do not contribute.

2. Official co-researchers or persons who contribute directly or indirectly to the preparation of publications shall be appropriately compensated in accordance with the method indicated in the paper, etc.

3. In other words, the researcher who directly conducted the main experiment with the highest contribution should be the first author, the researcher who is responsible for writing the paper should be the corresponding author, and the contribution should be fairly divided into co-authors.

 

Article 7 (Organization of Research Ethics Committee)

1. The Research Ethics Committee shall be established within the Society to deliberate on matters concerning research ethics.

2. The Research Ethics Committee shall consist of not more than 20 members, including the Editorial Chairperson and Editorial Committee members as ex officio members.

3. The chairperson of the Research Ethics Committee shall be the editor-in-chief concurrently, and the vice-chairperson and the executive secretary shall be elected by the Committee.

4. The members shall be appointed by the chairperson, and the term of office of the members shall be ten years, but they may be reappointed.

 

Article 8 (Operation of Research Ethics Committee)

1. The Committee shall convene if deemed necessary by the Chairman.

2. The Committee shall be established with the attendance of a majority of the incumbent members and shall be resolved with the consent of a majority of the members present. Provided, that a power of attorney shall be recognized as attendance in the establishment of the Committee, but voting rights shall not be granted.

3. A member who is involved in a study subject to deliberation by the Committee shall not participate in the deliberation related to the study.

4. The Chairperson may, if necessary for deliberation, request the research manager or the management manager to submit or report data.

5. Members shall observe confidentiality on all matters related to deliberation.

 

Article 9 (Function of the Committee)

The Committee shall deliberate on the following matters:

1. Matters concerning research ethics raised on papers, plans, reports, etc. related to the conference.

2. Research ethics and education in research and technology development

3. Matters concerning the safety, personal information protection, and damage compensation of subjects.

4. Filing of good faith accusations concerning the honesty of all research related to the society

5. Other matters concerning research ethics referred to by the Chairperson.

 

Article 10 (Investigation and Judgment of Research Ethics)

1. The Research Ethics Committee (hereinafter referred to as the "Committee") shall take charge of investigating and determining the facts of the alleged informational or perceived research misconduct.

2. The determination of the facts of the alleged informational or perceived research misconduct shall be resolved with the attendance of a majority of the Committee and the approval of a majority of the editorial members present.

3. Research ethics committee members who have an interest in the suspected case of the research misconduct are excluded from the investigation and judgment procedure.

4. The deadline for determining research irregularities is 6 months. In other words, it refers to the deadline for reporting research irregularities or preliminary investigation after the discovery of KODISA itself, and the main investigation and judgment after convening the committee. An objection must be filed within 30 days that the suspect has an objection, and the same shall be complete within the six-month validation prescription period.

 

Article 11 (Criteria for Determining Unethical Research)

1. Unethical researches are difficult to judge, so they are judged based on the following criteria.

             1) Intentional: A knowing intentional act

             2) Purpose: What is the purpose of the action?

             3) Recklessness: How reckless it is in a group of scientists

             4) Repeatability: Is it repeated?

2. It is determined as a basic standard determined by the Committee according to the criteria for judging research ethics.

 

Article 12 (Treatment of Research Dishonesty)

1. Even if the paper is confirmed to be published, the publication shall be withheld until the final judgment of this committee is made.

2. The previously published papers shall be deleted from the corresponding academic journal published by the Korea Distribution Science Association, notified to the researcher's affiliated institution, and notified to the Korea Research Foundation after the selection of the registered site. It is also announced on the website of the society.

3. Those who are finally judged for research dishonesty will be forced to withdraw from the academy for three years, and all academic journals published by the Korea Distribution Science Association will not be published, and they will be announced on the society's website.

4. The paper on which the research dishonesty was finally determined must be kept at the conference for five years based on the time the processing is completed.

5. If research dishonesty is confirmed as a result of the investigation, the publication of the paper shall be canceled as soon as possible without prior notice to the research party at the same time as the result of this committee. In addition, matters other than the above shall be carried out according to the resolution of the Committee.

6. If the investigation confirms that there has been no research dishonesty, the Committee may take appropriate follow-up measures to restore the reputation of the accused or the suspect.

 

Article 13 (Effective Date)

This Regulation shall come into effect as of the date of resolution by the Board of Directors. 



연구윤리규정 

 

1(목적)

    본 규정은 사단법인 한국유통과학회(KODISA, 이하학회라 한다)에서 발행하는 모든 학술지에 제출된 논문이 편집방침에 의하여 접수되고 심사되는 논문에 있어서 연구자편집위원심사위원으로서 지켜야할 연구윤리를 확보하는데 필요한 기본적인 원칙과 방향을 정함과 동시에 연구부정행위의 판정절차와 조치 등을 정함에 목적이 있다.

2(연구부정행위의 정의)

1. 연구부정행위(이하 부정행위라 한다)라 함은 연구자의 윤리적 덕목을 지키지 않는 행위로 연구의 제안연구의 수행연구결과의 보고 및 발표 등에서 행하여진 위조·변조·표절·부당한 논문저자 표시 행위 등을 말하며 다음 각 호와 같다.

 1) “위조는 존재하지 않는 데이터 또는 연구결과 등을 허위로 만들어 내는 행위를 말한다.

 2) “변조는 연구 재료·장비·과정 등을 인위적으로 조작하거나 데이터를 임의로 변형·삭제함으로서 연구 내용 또는 결과를 왜곡하는 행위를 말한다.

 3) “표절이라 함은 타인의 아이디어연구내용·결과 등을 정당한 승인 또는 인용 없이 도용하는 행위를 말한다. 또 자신의 연구를 중복게재하는 자기표절행위도 이에 포함한다.

 4) “부당한 논문저자 표시는 연구내용 또는 결과에 대하여 학술적·기술적 기여를 한 사람에게 정당한 이유 없이 논문저자 자격을 부여하지 않거나학술적·기술적 기여를 하지 않은 자에게 감사의 표시 또는 예우 등을 이유로 논문저자 자격을 부여하는 행위를 말한다.

 5) 본인 또는 타인의 부정행위의 의혹에 대한 조사를 고의로 방해하거나 제보자에게 위해를 가하는 행위

 6) 타인에게 상기의 부정행위를 행할 것을 제안·강요하거나 협박하는 행위

 7) 기타 학계에서 통상적으로 용인되는 범위를 심각하게 벗어난 행위

2. “제보자라 함은 부정행위를 인지한 사실 또는 관련 증거를 당 학회 또는 연구지원기관에 알린 자를 말한다다만고의 또는 중대한 과실로 이를 행한 자는 제보자로 간주하지 않는다.

3. “피조사자라 함은 제보의 대상이 된 자 또는 조사를 수행하던 중 부정행위를 한 것으로 추정되어 조사대상이 된 자를 말한다.

4. “예비조사라 함은 본 조사 실시여부를 결정하기 위하여 제보된 사실에 대한 관련 정보를 수집하고 예비적인 사실 확인 절차를 수행하는 것을 말한다.

5. “본 조사라 함은 부정행위의 여부와 그 책임자 및 부정의 정도유형을 결정하기 위하여 수행하는 모든 관련사실에 대한 공식적인 조사 및 평가를 말한다.

3조 (연구 부정행위의 범위)

1. 연구 부정행위의 범위는 다음과 같다. 

 1) 연구결과를 허위로 만들어 내는 위조 행위

 2) 데이터를 조작함으로써 연구내용이나 연구결과를 왜곡하는 변조 행위

 3) 타인의 연구내용이나 연구결과 등을 도용하는 표절행위

 4) 동일한 연구결과를 중복하여 게재 또는 출판하는 자기표절행위

 5) 연구에 기여 없이 부당 연구자 표기 행위

2. 빈번하게 발생하는 표절행위의 세부사항에 관하여는" 투고규정"에서 별도로 정하여 운영한다.

4(연구자의 정직성)

1. 연구자는 각자가 수행하는 연구에 있어서 정직하여야 한다여기서 정직은 아이디어의 도출실험에 대한 설계실험과 결과의 분석연구비 지원연구결과의 출판연구 참여자들에 대한 공정한 보상 등 연구 과정의 전반에 관한 정직을 말한다.

2. 연구자는 연구에 있어서의 표절사기조작위조 및 변조 등을 심각한 범죄행위로 간주하고이러한 부정이 발생하지 않도록 최선을 다하여야 한다.

3. 연구자는 본 조 제2항의 부정행위가 의심되는 사례가 있을 경우 적절한 방법으로 이를 학회에 보고하여야 한다.

4. 연구자는 자신의 이익과 타인 또는 타 기관의 이익이 상충하거나상충할 가능성이 있을 경우 이를 공표하고 적절히 대응하여야 한다.

5(연구의 개방성)

1. 연구자는 자신의 연구기밀이 보호되는 범위 내에서학문과 기술의 발전을 위하여 최대한 공개적인 자세로 임하여야 한다.

2. 연구결과가 출판된 후 다른 연구자의 요청이 있을 경우지적재산권 또는 연구와 관련된 제한이 규정이 허락하는 범위 내에서 연구 관련 데이터와 결과물 등을 적극적으로 제공하여야 한다.

6(기여도 배분)

1. 논문 등 출판된 연구결과에 기재된 저자들은 그 연구내용을 숙지함으로써 책임을 다할 수 있어야 하며기여도가 없는 사람에 대하여 저자의 권한을 부여해서는 안 된다.

2. 공식적인 공동연구자 또는 출판물의 작성에 직간접으로 기여한 사람들은 논문 등에 표시되는 방법에 따라 적절히 보상되어야 한다

3. 다시말해, 실험의 공헌도가 가장 높은 사람으로 주요 실험을 직접 수행한 연구자는 제1저자이어야 하고, 논문작성을 책임지고 연구진행, 교신을 진행하는 연구자는 교신저자이어야하며, 기타 어느분야의 역할을 담당한 연구자를 공동저자로 나누어 공평하게 기여도를 배분해야한다.

7(연구윤리위원회 조직)

1. 연구윤리에 관한 사항을 심의하기 위하여 학회 내에 연구윤리위원회를 둔다.

2. 연구윤리위원회는 편집위원장편집위원을 당연직으로 포함하여 20인 이내의 위원으로 구성한다.

3. 연구윤리위원장은 편집위원장이 당연직으로 겸직하며부위원장 및 간사는 위원회에서 호선한다.

4. 위원은 위원장이 임명하며위원의 임기는 10년으로 하되 연임할 수 있다.

8(연구윤리위원회의 운영)

1. 위원회는 본 위원장이 필요하다고 인정할 경우 소집한다.

2. 위원회는 재적위원 과반수의 출석으로 성립하고 출석위원 과반수의 찬성으로 의결한다위임장은 위원회의 성립에 있어 출석으로 인정하되 의결권은 부여하지 않는다.

3. 위원회의 심의 대상인 연구에 관여하고 있는 위원은 그 연구와 관련된 심의에 참여할 수 없다.

4. 위원장은 심의를 위하여 필요한 경우 연구책임자 혹은 관리책임자에게 자료의 제출 또는 보고를 요구할 수 있다.

5. 위원은 심의와 관련된 제반 사항에 대하여 비밀을 준수하여야 한다.

9(위원회의 기능위원회는 다음 각 호의 사항을 심의한다.

1. 학회와 관련된 논문계획서보고서 등에 대하여 제기된 연구윤리에 관한 사항

2. 연구 및 기술개발에 있어서의 연구윤리 및 그 교육에 관한 사항

3. 피험자의 안전개인정보 보호 및 피해보상에 관한 사항

4. 학회와 관련된 제반 연구 정직성에 관하여 제기된 선의의 고발 사항

5. 기타 위원장이 부의하는 연구윤리에 관한 사항

10(연구 부정행위의 조사 및 판정)

1. 제보 또는 인지된 연구 부정행위의 혐의에 대한 사실 여부 조사 및 판정은 연구윤리위원회(이하 본 위원회라 칭한다)에서 맡는다.

2. 제보 또는 인지된 연구 부정행위의 혐의에 대한 사실 여부 판정은 본 위원회 과반수의 출석과 출석 편집위원 과반수의 찬성으로 의결한다.

3. 당해 연구 부정행위의 혐의 사안과 이해관계가 있는 연구윤리위원은 조사 및 판정 절차에서 제외한다.

4. 연구부정행위 판정 기한은 6개월로 한다. 즉, 연구 부정행위 제보나 KODISA 자체 발견이후 예비조사, 위원회 소집후 본조사 및 판정까지 기한을 말한다. 피의자가 이의가 있다고 이의신청은 30일 이내에 해야 하며, 이때에도 동일하게 6개월 검증시효기간 안에 완료한다.

11 (연구 부정 행위의 판단 기준)

1. 연구부정행위는 그 판단이 어렵기 떄문에 일번적으로 다음과 같은 기준으로 판단한다.

 1) 고의성: 알면서 저지른 고의적 행위 인지

 2) 목적성: 행위의 목적이 무엇인지

 3) 무모성: 과학자 집단에서 볼떄 얼마나 무모한 행위인지

 4) 반복성: 반복적으로 행한 것인지

2. 연구부정행위에 대한 판단기준에 따라 본위원회에서 결정하는 기본적인 기준으로 정한다.

12조 (연구 부정직 행위에 대한 처리)

1. 게재 확정된 논문이더라도 본 위원회 확정 판결이 있기 전에는 게재를 보류한다.

2. 기 게재된 논문은 한국유통과학회에서 발행하는 해당 학술지에서 삭제하고해당 연구자 소속기관에 통보하고등재지 선정 이후에는 한국연구재단에도 통보한다또한 학회 홈페이지에 공지한다.

3. 연구 부정직 혐의로 최종 판정을 받는 자는 3년간 학회원에서 강제 탈퇴되며한국유통과학회에서 발행하는 모든 학술지 게재를 못하며이를 학회 홈페이지에 공고한다.

4. 연구 부정직 행위가 최종판정을 받은 논문은 처리가 종료된 시점을 기준으로 5년간 학회에 보관하여야 한다.

5. 조사 결과 연구 부정직 행위가 확정될 경우본 위원회 의결과 동시에 연구 당사자에게 사전 통지 없이 조속히 논문게재를 취소한다또한상기 사항이외의 사항에 대하여도 위원회의 의결에 따라 진행한다.

6. 조사 결과 연구 부정직 행위가 없었던 것으로 확정될 경우위원회는 피고발자 혹은 혐의자의 명예를 회복하기 위한 적절한 후속조치를 취할 수 있다.

13(시행일) 본 규정은 이사회에서 의결된 날부터 시행한다.
